I'm a mom of 3 that began her teaching career at the ripe old age of 7 when I taught my neighbor's brother addition when he was 4. Ok...ok... maybe that's an exaggeration (although true), but I was always the child who wanted to grow up to be a teacher, took every opportunity to teach someone that was willing to listen, and all around couldn't wait to grow up, go to college, get a classroom of my own and TEACH!
I also always wanted to be a mom... the kind of mom that I had. One that attended field trips, picked me up from school, volunteered in the classroom....you're seeing the conflict here, right? Well, there you have it. I had to "choose" in a way at least for a bit. I was able to get my degree, get my classroom, and teach for awhile before my kiddos were born, but now I choose to stay with them and watch them learn and grow as tiny people before I reenter the schools.
Most of the content that I've blogged about began in my classroom days, but is also a compilation of other teachers that have so graciously agreed to help me fill this blog with meaningful content.
So there you have it! ALL ABOUT ME ...I somehow feel like I should have drawn a self portrait out of crayon and listed my favorite foods, but I guess this will do for now.
